Donna-Dancing Queen (StampAnniething October Release, Day 3)
Today is the final day for StampAnniething's October Release and we have no other than Donna-Dancing Queen. Donna gave me total Cher vibes so that's where my inspiration comes from for her dress and hair.
Here are some photos of the coloring process:
I decided to go with a slimline card this time around. I ink blended the background using seedless preserves, peacock feathers, mermaid lagoon, twisted citron, wild honey, picked raspberry and carved pumpkin.
The first time I saw the disco ball die, I knew I had to make a shaker element out of it so I die cut 5 disco balls out of chipboard and one disco ball out of glitter paper. Then, I die cut the circle portion of the disco ball out of the left over ink blended background and got a flat round button. I traced the button on a blank watercolor circle and cut it out. I used foam to attach the ink blended circle background to the plain background with the whole in the middle. I built the shaker by stacking the 5 layers with glue. I attached the circle acetate sheet cut out to the glitter cut out of the disco ball, filled the disco ball inserts with beads and attached the glitter top. Lastly I glued the button to the card and then placed the shaker disco ball element on top and now we are ready for a spin!
Hope you liked the process behind Donna-Dancing Queen. If you are not a member of the Stamp Club, go check it out! It's incredible value and so much fun to create with! Check ya later!
